An 8 week summer internship at a technology company focusing on the design of vehicle speed detection and enforcement solutions.
It was my role to help provide direction and guidance by creating concepts for the development of the housing and internal layout of a new camera head for use in the companies various speed enforcement systems. I was given significant responsibility in the development team to create my own brief from collaborative talks with members of the company and to create my concepts from that. The main constraints being performance requirements and specified hardware to be included.
During my time at the company a visit was made to Edmo Ltd. to pitch the early stage concepts to a potential manufacturer, specializing in aluminum extrusion, fabrication and finishing.
